"the choices we make, shape our lives forever."

This week, we watched "A Bronx Tale." This movie was basically about any other story that could've happened to anyone living in the Bronx and even Chicago. It's about a young boy who is influenced from the people he associates himself with, which is Sonny. Sonny tells him from the beginning to do good in life and not to mess up. He looks up to Sonny as a fatherly figure. Sonny ends up saving him in the end and ends up getting shot. I think that's when C realizes that the way he lives his life is because he grew up that way and the reason why everyone else around him acts that way is because that's how they were raised and that was all they saw. This shows us how important it is to realize who we associate ourselves with because it influences us each day without even knowing it. It seems like he only goes to Sonny and his father for advice but not his friends. I can relate to this because I usually follow my mom's advice because I noticed she's always right. This is because she's been through it all since she is older and experienced it before I did. It relates to Sonny and C's father because they both give him advice on things because they want the best for him since they've already experienced it all.

  1. I agree with you about how we all are influenced by the people we associate ourselves with each day. None of us would be who we are today if we would have grown up in some other place. I like that you go to your mom for advice, it's cute. I wish i had that kind of a relationship with her, but that's why it's good to have other older people to be close with besides family, like C and Sonny.
